The Staff of the Atlanta Stage Combat Studio has trained extensively with nationally recognized Fightmasters, Fight Directors, and Certified Teachers of the Society of American Fight Directors. All choreographers, instructors, and assistants are at a minimum Recognized Actor Combatants with the S.A.F.D. led by Fight Director/Certified Teacher Scot J. Mann, S.A.F.D. They have also trained with independent Stage Combat professionals from Stage and Film, and studied a wide variety movement skills from Martial Arts (Tai Chi, Kali, Kenpo), to Commedia del Arte, Alexander, Feldenkris, and Yoga modalities. ASCS instructors are also working actors and entertainment industry professionals who teach from a perspective of personal experience.

As serious as it all sounds, everyone involved with ASCS studies and teaches Stage Combat for the joy of the challenge. Stage Combat can be one of the ultimate performance challenges, and a lot of fun for participants and audiences alike. As a physical discipline, we believe Stage Combat offers an opportunity for self discovery as both an individual and a performer. We hope you will join us in the pursuit of this challenge!
